The Union of Humanities and History Clubs (UHHC) is an international student organization for high school students with a shared interest in the humanities—including history, literature, and the arts—as well as interdisciplinary fields such as economics, business, law, and human-centered AI.
UHHC is dedicated to connecting young people across schools, cities, and academic backgrounds. Through intellectual exchange, academic exploration, and cultural engagement, we seek to build an open, inclusive, and collaborative platform where ideas can move freely and inspire one another.
What We Believe
We believe that the spirit of the humanities does not belong only to the great civilizations of the past. It deserves to continue to flourish in an age of rapid technological change.
As artificial intelligence, business, and technology continue to reshape our world, we believe it is increasingly important to ask:
What is the place of humanity in this changing world? How can we understand history, culture, and society—and how can we approach the future through a humanistic lens?
UHHC seeks to help more young people discover the depth and power of the humanities, while exploring the breadth and complexity of our world together with peers from different backgrounds.
Our Community
UHHC is building an international network of students and student organizations across Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, the United States, Canada, and Singapore.
Our members come from diverse schools and educational systems, with interests spanning history, literature, the arts, economics, business, law, artificial intelligence, and other interdisciplinary fields.

What We Do
01｜Showcasing Student Voices
UHHC provides a platform for students to share their original ideas and work.
We showcase members’ original essays, research, cultural projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives, encouraging high school students to examine history, culture, society, and the world around them from their own perspectives.
We believe that meaningful humanistic inquiry does not have to begin in a university or academic institution. It can begin with a student’s personal reflection on a book, a historical event, a work of art, or a question about society.
02｜Connecting Student Communities
UHHC organizes cross-city and cross-school exchanges, enabling students from different regions to build meaningful and lasting connections.
Through thematic discussions, academic conversations, experience-sharing sessions, and cultural activities, we help students move beyond the boundaries of their own schools and communities and encounter new ideas and perspectives.
We also invite outstanding students to share their experiences in academic research, student organizations, cultural projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives, allowing knowledge and practical experience to circulate throughout the wider student community. So far, we have held three cross-club, interdisciplinary, and intercity sharing and exchanging conferences.
03｜Exploring the Humanities Across Disciplines
UHHC does not view the humanities as confined to traditional academic disciplines.
History can intersect with economics. Literature can meet artificial intelligence. Art can connect with business. Law can provide another lens through which to understand society and civilization.
For this reason, UHHC explores not only traditional humanities disciplines, but also the intersections between the humanities and economics, business, law, technology, artificial intelligence, and other fields.

Beyond our own membership, UHHC is gradually developing a broader international network of student organizations.
Today, our partner network is developing into a community that connects organizations across 10 countries and more than 100 schools.

A student organization focused on the humanities and classics, currently composed of 5 student clubs, initiated by students from the Dalton Academy of the Affiliated High School of Peking University.
EconMind League
A student organization network focused on economics, business, and current macroeconomic issues, currently spanning 29 schools and founded by students from the International Division of Suzhou High School.
